Becho Inc. - Drill Shaft Extraction
Becho Project Job Site
The contractor is digging multiple vertical shafts to a depth of 250' in a vacant city lot in downtown San Francisco. These shafts are to form a 'bulkhead' to prevent soil movement, while excavation for a subway station and California's future 'high speed rail line' is completed on the work site.
Global's divers were lowered down the 84 inch diameter shaft to a water depth of 160 feet in order to repair the casing. This repair will enable the contractor to remove the casing prior to the placement of the necessary concrete, and inevitably continue to dig the remaining shafts.
Project Details
Repair to rotating shaft casing in 110 feet of water within metropolitan San Francisco.
